Margate's Hebrew Academy Community School invites the adult public to spend a free, fun-filled hour at the ultimate hands-on, Passover experience.  Come to the Model Matzah Bakery! From threshing and winnowing the wheat stalks, to kneading and rolling, each participant will bake their own Matzah, from scratch!

Reservations are required please call Mrs. Faigie Kaufman, Community Development Coordinator at (954) 978-6341 ext 245 to save your spot.
_______________

The Model Matzah Bakery recreates a functional model of the hand-made matzah factories that have been used by Jews for thousands of years. Beginning with a sheave of wheat you will experience the hustle and bustle as you hurry to beat the timer to ensure that the crunchy finished product is completed within 18 minutes!  And, of course, you will go home with samples of the “Shmura Matzah” that has been the core of the Passover seder since the exodus from Egypt.

The Matzah Bakery begins a 3-class series “Prepping for Pesach” given at the Hebrew Academy Community School, 1500 N. State Road 7 in Margate.  There is no charge whatsoever for your participation. The schedule is as follows:

- Monday, March 15th: Model Matzah Bakery 8:45 – 9:45 AM

- Thursday, March 18th: The Seder Plate – Solving the Mystery of the Symbols with Rabbi Yossie Denburg 8:45 – 9:45 AM

- Friday, March 19th: Prepping for Pesach – Preparing Your Kitchen, Cooking & Recipes with Rivkie Denburg 8:45 – 9:15 AM

The award-winning, triple-accredited Hebrew Academy, servicing infants through the 8th grade, is located at 1500 N. State Road 7 in Margate.  Registration is currently underway for the coming school year. For information about enrolling a child at the Hebrew Academy or for further information about joining the “Prepping for Pesach” experience celebration call (954) 978-6341 or log on to www.hebrewacademy.org
